Onsite role, based at Macquarie University, Wallumattagal campus, North Ryde
Macquarie University is seeking two passionate and self-motivated individuals to provide senior operational and administrative support to the Senior Manager, Inclusion and Belonging in the delivery, governance, and continuous improvement of student groups. These roles lead event coordination, stakeholder engagement, risk management and process improvement for Student Groups and Student Organisations.
This is a campus-based (on-site), student-facing role that offers the chance to make a real and meaningful impact on the University community.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide high level project, administrative and event coordination and support to the Inclusion and Belonging team
- Coordinate student led events and other major student-facing activities, including managing registrations, coordinating rosters and training, arranging speaker briefings and facilitating venue and facilities bookings.
- Monitor Student led organisation activities and ensure compliance with University policies, procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Assist with governance processes including reporting, risk identification, record keeping and issue resolution relating to student group activities and events.
- Provide advice, mentoring and capability development for student volunteers and student leaders to support effective governance, responsible event delivery, and alignment with University values and expectations.
- Undertake reviews and evaluate all student led activities and peer programs to support continuous improvement and alignment with University governance frameworks, policies and regulatory obligations
- Comply with relevant EEO and WHS regulations
- Perform any other duties as required and appropriate for the classification level of the role.

You’ll be a self-starting individual with excellent work organisation and time management skills and ability to remain resilient when under pressure. You will have expert planning, design and content development capabilities, able to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels. You will enjoy working in a dynamic environment, applying a methodical and consultative approach in your work, and be motivated to deliver work outputs that are of a consistent high quality.

- Degree or equivalent experience in business, education, finance, law or related discipline.
- Knowledge of tertiary students and the Australian higher education system.
- Understanding of first-year experience, transition, and peer support models within higher education, with the ability to apply these within university frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating major and complex student engagement projects, events and programs.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, or supervise staff or student leaders
- Ability to manage, analyse and report on data to inform decision making and program evaluation.
- High level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear documentation, communications, and reports.
