Partners with senior leaders in Student Life to regularly
deliver performance reviews that accurately detail employee
performance
Performs job analysis for schools and business units to
evaluate current jobs and make recommendations for performance
improvement to leadership
Develops, implements, and manages the processes for
organizational restructures in divisions
Supervises a team of HR professionals to support the needs of
employee populations and ensure consistent application of all HR
policies, processes, and systems
Serves on the campus HR leadership team with the Senior HR
Director to help determine strategic initiatives related to HR for
the IU Bloomington campus
General Responsibilities
- Develops, motivates and leads a highly effective HR team that
delivers value to the organization with expert recruiting, talent
and development, succession planning, and other human capital
activities
- Partners directly with leadership to develop and implement HR
strategies. Provides strategic HR oversight to specified client
groups, acting as a trusted adviser to leadership
- Acts as a primary point of contact for senior leaders,
providing expertise and guidance in the areas of organizational
performance, culture, and change
- Coaches leaders on leadership behaviors and practices focusing
on development and performance strategies to promote engagement and
a culture of continuous growth and development
- Leads key HR processes and initiatives, leveraging and
partnering with Centers of Expertise (COE's)
- Provides strategic HR consulting and problem-solving solutions
on the most complex issues to leadership
Qualifications
Combinations of related education and experience may be
considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be
substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum
required may be substituted for education.
EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, finance, business or a
related field
Preferred
- Master's degree in a related field
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
- 5 years of progressively responsible HR or related experience
influencing a wide variety of internal stakeholders
- 2 years of management experience in HR or related fields
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Preferred
- SHRM-SCP/SPHR within 1 year
- Valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by
Indiana University

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to
operate a computer and other standard office productivity
equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods
of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The
person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions
with or without an accommodation.
