Offer Description
Candidates, in addition to the general requirements for entering into an employment relationship, must meet the requirements prescribed by the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act (Official Gazette No. 119/22) and the Statute of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture.
Along with a personally signed application, candidates are required to submit:
- a curriculum vitae;
- proof of the appropriate level of education (a copy of the diploma confirming the required educational qualification for the position);
- proof of citizenship (a copy of an identity card, passport or certificate of citizenship);
- a signed statement giving their explicit consent to the publication of the notification of the outcome of the recruitment procedure on the Faculty's website.
Candidates applying for the position must meet the following requirement: a completed university doctoral study programme in the field of Biotechnical Sciences, scientific field of Agriculture.
A selected candidate holding a foreign diploma is required, prior to concluding an employment contract, to submit a decision/opinion issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education (AZVO) on the recognition of the foreign educational qualification.
Pursuant to the Gender Equality Act (Official Gazette Nos. 82/08, 125/11, 20/12, 138/12 and 69/17), persons of both genders may apply for the vacancy under equal conditions.
A candidate shall be considered an applicant in the public recruitment procedure only if they submit a timely and complete application and meet the formal requirements specified in the vacancy announcement.
A complete application shall be considered an application containing all required personal information, a personally signed application, and all attachments specified in the vacancy announcement.
The application must specify the title of the position for which the candidate is applying and the candidate's personal information: full name, date of birth, residential address, telephone number and, preferably, e-mail address.
A candidate invoking the right to priority in employment pursuant to:
- Article 102 of the Act on the Rights of Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Their Family Members (Official Gazette Nos. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21 and 156/23);
- Article 48.f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids (Official Gazette Nos. 33/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13 and 98/19);
- Article 48 of the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War (Official Gazette No. 84/21); or
- Article 9 of the Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities Act (Official Gazette Nos. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20),
must invoke this right in their application and shall have priority over other candidates only under equal conditions.

A candidate invoking the right to priority in employment pursuat to Article 48.f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids must, in addition to proof of fulfilment of the required conditions, submit a decision or certificate demonstrating the respective right, as well as proof of the manner in which their previous employment relationship ended.
A candidate invoking the right to priority in employment pursuant to Article 9 of the Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities Act must, in addition to proof of fulfilment of the required conditions, submit proof of disability.
A candidate invoking the right to priority in employment pursuant to Article 22 of the Constitutional Act on the Rights of National Minorities is not required to provide proof of their status as a member of a national minority, in addition to the proof of fulfilment of the required conditions.
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture shall process the personal data provided by candidates in accordance with the applicable legislation governing the protection of personal data. The data provided shall be processed for the purpose of conducting the recruitment procedure and shall not be used for any other purpose.
Candidates shall be subject to a probationary period in accordance with the provisions of the Basic Collective Agreement for Employees in Public Services.
