Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Zagrebačka 30, Pula, hereby announces the following
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
1. FACULTY OF MEDICINE
- for the appointment of one (1) employee to the teaching position of Lecturer, Type I, in the field of Biomedicine and Health Sciences, branch of Clinical Medical Sciences, for an open-ended employment contract on a full-time basis, subject to a mandatory six-month probationary period.
Applicants (m/f) must meet the requirements prescribed by the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act (Official Gazette No. 119/22) and the National University, Scientific and Artistic Criteria (Official Gazette No. 42/2026).
Applicants are required to submit the following documents with their application:
- a curriculum vitae (CV), signed;
- a copy of the relevant doctoral degree diploma or a diploma/certificate of completion of a university undergraduate and graduate study programme, or an integrated undergraduate and graduate university study programme;
- a description of their previous artistic, scientific, teaching and professional activities;
- a list of published scientific, artistic and professional works, together with copies of relevant publications;
- proof of citizenship;
- in the case of foreign nationals, proof of proficiency in the Croatian language.
Successful applicants shall enter into an employment relationship subject to a six-month probationary period.
The above documents and supporting materials shall be submitted as uncertified copies, in the Croatian language and using the Latin script.
Persons of both sexes are entitled to apply under equal conditions. The terms used in this Call for Applications that have a gender-specific meaning shall be used in a gender-neutral manner and shall apply equally to persons of both sexes.

Applicants who submit a timely and complete application and meet the formal requirements of this Call for Applications will be invited to an interview. Applicants will be duly informed of the date, time and venue of the interview.
Incomplete and late applications will not be considered.
Pursuant to Article 12 of the Act on Salaries in the State Service and Public Services (Official Gazette No. 155/23), the basic salary is calculated as the product of the coefficient for the calculation of the salary for the position to which an employee is assigned and the salary base used for the calculation of salaries. Article 18 of the Act provides for a service seniority allowance of 0.5% of the basic salary for each completed year of service. The salary base for employees in public services is determined by the Decision on the Amount of the Salary Base for the Calculation of Salaries in Public Services in 2026, adopted by the Government of the Republic of Croatia on 30 January 2026. As of 1 April 2026, the salary base amounts to EUR 1,015.00 gross. Pursuant to the Regulation on Job Titles, Conditions for Assignment and Coefficients for the Calculation of Salaries in Public Services (Official Gazette No. 22/24), the job complexity coefficient for the position of Lecturer is 2,01.

The University reserves the right to annul this Call for Applications or not to select any applicant, without stating the reasons for such annulment or non-selection.
