The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) in Singapore brings together physicists, computer scientists and engineers to do basic research on quantum physics and to build devices based on quantum phenomena. Experts in this new discipline of quantum technologies are applying their discoveries in computing, communications, and sensing.

CQT is hosted by the National University of Singapore. The Centre also has staff at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and the Singapore University of Technology and Design. Job Description

The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) is looking for researchers to develop technologies for the next generation quantum computer. This program is funded under the National Quantum Processor Initiative (NQPI), a flagship program under the National Quantum Office Singapore.

We are developing an ambitious project on quantum processors (QP) based on a neutral atom array (NAA). NAA platforms offer properties that make them promising candidates for quantum processors, including long coherence times and operational systems with large numbers of atoms. The recent demonstration of high-fidelity gates, and the implementation of error-corrections codes have positioned NAA-based QP at the forefront in the development of quantum computing hardware.

We are looking for highly motivated young scientists to join our team in this very promising and competitive field of research. The successful candidate will supervise a team of 6-9 researchers working on several experimental platforms. Its main objective will be to implement the scientific program and coordinate the technical and scientific efforts among the platforms.

Job Requirements

Applicants should have a PhD in Physics, followed by at least 4 years of successful post-doctoral experience in related research areas.
