"Senior Research Fellow (w/m/d) Einstein Forum"

The Einstein Forum, an international think tank located in Potsdam, Germany, will appoint a Senior Research Fellow starting September 1, 2026. The Forum combines academic rigor, intellectual independence, and public engagement, hosting events in English and German that open new perspectives—ranging from enduring philosophical questions to urgent contemporary challenges. We invite applications from scholars with a completed doctorate in the humanities or social sciences, a strong research profile, and an eagerness to think beyond disciplinary routines. A strong interest in public-facing scholarship and the ability to engage diverse audiences is required. Fellows pursue their own research while actively shaping the Forum’s intellectual life through organizing conferences, lectures, and public initiatives. Excellent German and English skills are required; ideally, applicants are fluent in both. As a small and dynamic institution, we value collegiality and expect Fellows to contribute to program development, public outreach and organization.
