Job Description Summary

The Penn Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD) Center is seeking a Senior Research Investigator who will provide laboratory support for the development of multiple research projects focused on the intersection of inflammation and neurodegeneration through local translation in specific cell types and studies on the genetic and molecular basis of FTD.

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will support cell culture studies, conduct microscopy-based and biochemical studies of iPS cell models. The selected candidate will also support related lab activities, including human histopathology studies. The Senior Research Investigator will work with Principal Investigator, Dr. Allison Snyder, and will closely interact with trainees and students in the laboratory, as well as participate in developing and following safety procedures and research SOPs and protocols for general laboratory practices, in compliance with safety regulations. It is anticipated that the Senior Research Investigator will assist with research dissemination, including preparing conference presentations and peer-reviewed manuscripts.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Philosophy, and 5 to 7 years of postdoctoral experience is required.

$79,500.00 - $100,000.00 Annual Rate
