About UNSW:
UNSW isn’t like other places you’ve worked. Yes, we’re a large organisation with a diverse and talented community, a community doing extraordinary things. Together, we are driven to be thoughtful, practical, and purposeful in all we do. Taking this combined approach is what makes our work matter. If you want a career where you can thrive, be challenged and do meaningful work, you’re in the right place.
Why Your Role Matters:
Are you an experienced Senior Solution Analyst who thrives on solving complex challenges and driving meaningful organisational change? At UNSW, you will lead business analysis activities in the Learning Management System environment and ecosystem, partnering with senior stakeholders to design solutions that support the University's strategic objectives and deliver lasting impact.
UNSW is rolling out a new learning management system (LMS), approved in June 2026, as a major university-wide transformation by 2030. Delivered faculty by faculty and aligned with the 2028 Flex-Semester transition for early adopting faculties, it will reshape teaching and learning.
The LMS Program goes beyond technology, combining change, training, and engagement through a human-centred design approach. Joining now means contributing to a high-impact initiative with strong leadership and a multidisciplinary team.
As a trusted advisor, you will influence key business and technology decisions, ensuring strategic LMS initiatives are supported by robust analysis and a deep understanding of stakeholder needs. You will build strong relationships across the University and play a critical role in delivering innovative solutions that drive continuous improvement.
Beyond project delivery, you will contribute to the ongoing development of UNSW's business analysis practice by mentoring analysts, promoting best-practice approaches, and strengthening frameworks, standards, and tools. This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment while contributing to the future success of one of Australia's leading universities.
Responsibilities Summary:
- Lead end-to-end business analysis activities across the learning management system initiatives, from problem identification and business case development through to solution design, testing support, and post-implementation review.

- Collaborate closely with solution architects, developers, data and integration teams, and testers to ensure solutions meet both business needs and technical constraints.
- Engage in and support enterprise testing, including defining test cases, user acceptance testing, and validation of deliverables against business requirements.
- Maintain a deep understanding of relevant University systems, data models, processes, and interdependencies to advise on enterprise impacts.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of institutional business analysis standards, documentation templates, and quality assurance practices.
- Align with and actively demonstrate the Code of Conduct and Values.
- Ensure hazards and risks psychosocial and physical are identified and controlled for tasks, projects, and activities that pose a health and safety risk within your area of responsibility.
Skills and Experience Summary:
