Performs specialized, complex work to assist in the organization and implementation of various projects and programs. Work is performed under supervision within established guidelines with performance based on overall results obtained.

Major/Essential Functions
Indirect Supervision (15%)
- Manage daily operations of assigned residence hall/complex office area
- Assist with desk scheduling as assigned by supervisor
- Provide direction and feedback to Residence Life Student Assistants and Community Advisors working the front desk Work with residence hall staff to ensure a clean and orderly front desk area
- Provide accountability of student leaders and residence life staff for administrative and related tasks, including having conversations regarding expectations, informing direct supervisors of concerns, and re-teaching tasks and skills
- Document and communicate effectively with direct supervisors regarding staff performance concerns
Administration (40%)
- Process and ensure accuracy of all residence hall/complex office processes and record keeping, including but not limited to personal data (PD) cards, lock-out cards, key audits, etc.
- Maintain accuracy of rosters and coordinate with Welcome Center staff regarding occupancy of hall; utilize designated systems to effectively communicate room change needs with appropriate parties
- Oversee complex mail operations, ensuring accurate tracking and delivery of mail from USPS, UPS, Fed-Ex and other carriers/vendors
- Assist with residence hall/complex council budget paperwork ensuring accuracy and compliance with purchasing policies and procedures
- Understand and appropriately utilize online departmental systems including Roompact, EZ Track-it, StarRez, Cognos, etc.
- Communicate facilities and housekeeping needs via the Fix-it system including, but not limited to room cleaning requests, lock changes, new key requests, etc.
- Actively participate in regular one-on-one meetings with supervisor, communicating on-going updates of hall office functions, accomplished tasks, student concerns, etc.
Communication (30%)
- Support, provide guidance for, and implement the departmental customer service model
- Provide internal and external customer service via the phone, e-mail and in-person
- Be knowledgeable of campus resources and refer students, faculty, staff, and guests as appropriate
- Communicate necessary information to internal and external stakeholders as assigned
- Ensure accurate reporting and provide follow-up as necessary with student and parent concerns
- Contact appropriate personnel regarding student crises including, but not limited to Texas Tech Police Department, Emergency Medical Services, Coordinator On-Call Staff, direct supervisor
Departmental and Campus Support (15%)
- Provide administrative support to summer camps and conferences, Red Raider Orientation housing, or summer school as assigned
- Support departmental initiatives within Residence Life including but not limited to In-Hall, Student Engagement, Housing Care Team, and Operations
- Coordinate assigned reports including but not limited to monthly reports, time tracking, etc.
- Provide administrative support to departmental initiatives as requested
- Develop and maintain relationships with all areas of University Student Housing including Housing Facilities, Administration & Business Services and Residence Life
- Attend and actively participate in monthly Senior Specialists meetings
Required Qualifications
High school plus five years experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
This position requires eligibility to drive TTU vehicles, including a valid U.S. driver license and two years of driving experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working within an administrative role; experience working within Residence Life or other area of Higher Education preferred.
Pay Range
$16.39 - $21.30 - $26.25
