Senior Staff Assistant
Job Description
SUNY Broome Community College is seeking applicants for a full-time Senior Staff Assistant in the Admissions Office. This in-person position reports to the Enrollment Management Office, working with a dedicated team in a friendly, energetic community college setting.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work effectively with a diverse public and student population; communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; maintain a recruitment territory, and have knowledge of local, state and federal guidelines and programs that can affect admissions and enrollment of students; generate activity reports from the College database and other computer resources in response to internal and external requests for information.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required. Additional training and education in the applicable administrative field is desirable.
- One (1) year of supervisory experience is required.
- Availability and willingness to travel to high schools, college fairs, and county events during high recruitment periods necessary.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Experience with SLATE and Banner is strongly preferred.
- Two (2) to three (3) years of experience working in an educational institution or in a related administrative function is desired.
- Human Services experience or additional experience with any of the functional responsibilities of the position is preferred.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.
Additional Information:
The minimum salary for this position is $55,119. Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
