Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Senior Studio Technician (Multimedia) to join Faculty Operations, Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice.
The Senior Studio Technician (Multimedia) will provide highly specialised digital media content development, virtual production workflows and photogrammetry within the CIESJ Studios and Production team. The role supports the design, implementation and operation of interactive multimedia systems for learning and teaching, research and commercial projects. This position is responsible for effective, safe and sustainable operation of specialist multimedia technologies and workflows, particularly those used in virtual production, motion capture photogrammetry and real-time digital content creation, as well as maintaining associated infrastructure and equipment.

What you need to succeed
- A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of relevant education/training and experience, combined with subsequent relevant work experience. This may include experience in interactive digital production, multimedia design and/or the creation of digital assets and environments for games, multimedia or virtual environments.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within creative and technical multimedia teams, as well as liaise professionally with internal and external clients, stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Ability to develop creative and technically innovative multimedia solutions that support continuous improvement.
- Well-developed and demonstrated multimedia training and delivery skills, with the ability to translate specialist knowledge into effective support in educational and creative environments, assisting in the identification and resolution of issues.
- Demonstrated specialist understanding of multimedia production tools and systems, particularly those used in virtual production, motion capture and the game industry within a learning environment. This includes expertise in Motion Capture systems, scalable LED display panels and technology, video projection and display systems, 3D graphics engines such as Unreal Engine and Perforce.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately review and interpret multimedia briefs and conceptual instructions and apply relevant knowledge to setup and demonstrate equipment for the relevant discipline, and produce high quality technical reports, documentation and communications.
