IST-ID announces the opening of a recruitment and selection process for the following post:
SENIOR TECHNICIAN
1 POSITION (PART-TIME)
(Ref. IST-ID TS 3/2026)
DEPARTMENT: MARETEC – Marine, Environment and Technology Centre
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Support for the administrative and financial management of MARETEC’s Pluriannual Funding Projects (funded by FCT):
- Supporting the administrative and financial management of the projects;
- Supporting the preparation of financial and scientific reports for the projects;
- Supporting the administrative, financial and technical management of other research, development and demonstration projects within MARETEC’s areas of activity, particularly in the URBAN thematic area of the LARSyS FCT Research Unit (Associated Laboratory), throughout their entire lifecycle (preparation of applications, administration of missions, procurement and maintenance of equipment, procurement of services, dissemination, preparation of technical and financial reports) and with a high level of responsibility for administrative and technical processes.

- Experience in sustainable architecture, urban planning and spatial planning projects and initiatives.

- Ability to work as part of a team (playing an active and cooperative role);
- Planning and organisational skills;

Additional Information
Benefits
A gross monthly salary of 960.00 euros
Eligibility criteria
- Preferential criteria (score from 1 to 20 for each criterion):
- Experience in sustainable architecture, urban planning and spatial planning projects and initiatives (weighting: 40%);
- Research experience (weighting: 25%);
- Possible interview (weighting: 35%).

The selection method to be used is assessment of the CV. Should the selection panel deem it necessary, an interview will be conducted. The selection panel reserves the right not to select any candidate should none of the candidates meet the requirements.

POSITION OFFERED:
Fixed-term, part-time (50%) employment contract for one year, renewable in accordance with the law.
