Maynooth University is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Undergraduate Student Recruitment Manager – Undergraduate (EU) to lead and develop the University’s Undergraduate Student Recruitment team and contribute to the development and delivery of its undergraduate CAO recruitment strategy.
Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the postholder will provide strategic and operational leadership for undergraduate student recruitment activity, supporting growth in CAO applications while ensuring a high-quality, student-centred experience throughout the recruitment journey.
The postholder will lead a high-performing team responsible for outreach, engagement and relationship management across the second-level and Further Education sectors, working with schools, Guidance Counsellors, FE providers, parents/guardians and other key influencers in the student decision-making process.
The role will oversee a comprehensive programme of student recruitment activity, including school and FE engagement, Open Days, campus visits, exhibitions, information sessions, Guidance Counsellor engagement and digital recruitment. The postholder will ensure that activity is effectively targeted, evidence-based and aligned with University priorities and agreed recruitment objectives.
The Senior Undergraduate Student Recruitment Manager will also oversee undergraduate student recruitment communications and publications, including the undergraduate prospectus, supporting print and digital materials and CRM-led communications with prospective students, parents/guardians, teachers and Guidance Counsellors.
A key responsibility will be the analysis of recruitment performance, applicant behaviour, CAO trends and wider market intelligence. The postholder will provide clear, timely and evidence-based advice to the Director of Admissions and relevant University stakeholders, identifying opportunities and risks relating to application growth, conversion, diversification, programme demand and the changing undergraduate student recruitment environment.
The postholder will work closely with Communications and Marketing, academic departments, Admissions and professional service teams to ensure coordinated student recruitment activity, consistent messaging and an excellent prospective student experience. They will also represent Maynooth University externally and develop strong strategic relationships across the second-level and Further Education sectors and relevant professional networks.
The role requires flexibility to work outside normal office hours, including evenings and weekends, particularly during key recruitment periods and major events, and to travel nationally as required.
Salary:
Senior Administrative Officer IV (2026): €71,441 – €113,437 p.a. (1-7 points)
Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions
