Senior/Research Fellow (BISI)
Job Description
The National University of Singapore is seeking a Senior/Research Fellow in the Centre for Behavioural and Implementation Science Interventions (BISI), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The centre aims to improve population health and well-being and healthcare delivery by accelerating evidence-based practice through the use of behavioural and implementation science. More information on the centre is available at https://medicine.nus.edu.sg/bisi/. Appointments will be made on a 1-year contract basis in the first instance, with the possibility of extension.
Purpose of the post
The role is primarily research-orientated, with focus on behavioural science in the health setting. The successful candidate is expected to provide assistance to the BISI Faculty in i) delivering the research projects that the Centre’s research strategy has identified as key priorities, ii) contribute to the writing and applications for competitive grants, iii) leading/mentoring junior researchers within a collaborative research team, and iv) undertake teaching duties in both undergraduate and post-graduate settings.

Main duties and responsibilities
Research-Related
- Design, plan and execute behavioural science projects;
- Analyse and interpret data;
- Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication;
- Contribute to competitive research grant applications;
- Disseminate research proposals and findings through presentations internally and externally at scientific meetings and conferences.
Education-Related
- Mentor junior research staff;
- Teach in the Centre’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Qualifications
The candidate should possess:
- A PhD in a relevant discipline, preferably in one of the following: Economics, Marketing, Management, Psychology
- Demonstrated ability to conduct rigorous behavioural science research, preferably in health or applied settings;
- Experience undertaking or leading independent research studies;
- Evidence of strong academic writing and peer-reviewed publications;
- Strong quantitative research skills, including study design, data management, analysis, interpretation, and reporting;
- Proficiency in relevant research software, such as R, SPSS, Stata, nVivo, TreeAge, or similar tools;
- Experience presenting research at national or international scientific conferences;
The following experiences would be advantageous:
- Designing and/or conducting field experiments;
- Contributing to research grant applications;
- Teaching courses, workshops, or training.
