Secure metal roof panels in place, then interlock and fasten grooved panel edges. Determine project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods and materials, according to blueprints, drawings, and written or verbal instructions. Lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on material, such as roofing panels, according to drawings or templates, using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares, and rulers. Maneuver completed units into position for installation, and anchor the units. Convert blueprints into shop drawings to be followed in the construction and assembly of sheet metal products. Fasten roof panel edges and machine-made molding to structures, nailing or welding pieces into place.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of related experience

- Advanced level Tradesman
- Drafting, Laying Out, and Specifying Technical Devices, Parts, and Equipment
- Has a developed ability to communicate within organization pertinent and accurate information to facilitate multi-personnel repair efforts
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Perform all construction, remodel, repair, replacement and renovation duties in accordance with departmental standards and applicable code
Physical Demands
- Lift, stoop, crawl, work from a standard and/or extended ladder.
- Lift up to 75 lbs during a normal 8 hour work shift.
- Meet standard requirements of the trades positions.
