Under the general supervision of the Facility Operation Coordinators, the Shift Leaders oversee the daily operations in the Recreation Center and acts as the shift lead. They must perform routine and complex assignments requiring specialized knowledge, prior relevant experience, and moderate independent judgment and decision-making.

  • Assist with the overall management of Pottruck Health and Fitness Center and Fox Fitness Center day-to-day operations
  • Serve as shift lead for daily operations
  • Manage shift changes
  • Indirectly supervises student/part-time staff
  • Assist with development and implementation of operational strategies
  • Enforce rules and regulations
  • Provide emergency care and treatment as required
  • Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard of customer service
  • Perform basic facility maintenance and custodial support
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate activity/incident reports
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Attend and assist in the development and execution of orientations and trainings
