Hours will vary from part-time 9 mo and < 50% time, or <9 mo and any % time.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility will be teaching undergraduate courses. Some service and research activity may be expected.

The Division of the Science and Mathematics may need Lecturers/Assistant Professors or Teaching Specialists to teach on a short-term and/or temporary basis during the 2026-2027 academic year (August 17, 2026 to May 16, 2027) in one or more of the following areas:

• Biology
• Chemistry
• Computer Science
• Environmental Science
• Geology
• Mathematics
• Physics
• Statistics

Qualifications

Required/Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D. or terminal degree for Lecturers, MA/MS or BA/BS for Teaching Specialists. Candidates must have academic preparation appropriate to the specialized teaching field and must present evidence of successful teaching. Though clear emphasis is on successful teaching, consideration will be given to scholarly attainment of other professional recognition or distinction in the teaching field.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $33,190 - $54,880 ; depending on education/qualifications/experience.

While our salary ranges provide a framework, it is important to note that most of the time, the initial pay may not reach the maximum of the range. This approach ensures that compensation reflects the value and unique contributions of each candidate while maintaining equity within our organization.
