Accountabilities

Colgate University is seeking part-time shuttle bus drivers to join our Transportation team. We seek dependable, friendly individuals to help safely transport passengers throughout the campus and the Village of Hamilton. These positions offer flexible shifts, including daytime, evening, overnight, weekend, and event coverage.

Responsibilities:

Operate a shuttle, bus, or van safely and courteously to transport passengers around campus and the Village of Hamilton.
Follow all University policies and procedures while operating vehicles.
Conduct required vehicle inspections per department and DOT standards.
Operate vehicle communication systems in compliance with University guidelines.
Perform daily cleaning and fueling of vehicles.
Maintain scheduled routes and report any delays or changes immediately to the supervisor.
Record and report incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues according to established procedures.
Provide shuttle service information to students, faculty, and staff.
Attend all required training sessions and meetings per University, federal, and state requirements.
Maintain CDL and all necessary certifications and endorsements, including timely physicals and recertification's.
Other job related duties as assigned.
