Classification: The Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) plans to appoint five associate professors or professors specializing in Mathematics or Mathematical Physics, commencing in 2026. Candidates must hold a PhD in Mathematics or a closely related area.
The positions open at the recently established Department of Mathematics at KSE. The newly hired faculty members will play a leading role in development of the Department and in fostering collaborations across the global research community. The duties of a KSE professor include conducting research, supervising graduate students, teaching, and mentoring undergraduate students. The languages of instruction are English and Ukrainian. No knowledge of the Ukrainian language is required. Our teaching workload is approximately 50% of the time, or three lecture courses per year. This includes teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses, as well as running graduate student seminars.
KSE plans to establish a Department of Theoretical Physics in the near future. One of the goals of this competition is to find high profile mathematical or theoretical physicists who are ready to spend a substantial amount of time at KSE to oversee the creation of the new department.
Hours: Full time
Contract type: Fixed-term contract, tenured upon completion of a successful review after three years
Location: KSE Campus, 3 Mykoly Shpaka Street and 20 Obolonska Naberezhna, Kyiv, Ukraine
