Job Description
The Simulation Technician provides high-level technical expertise and physical execution for all high-fidelity manikin-based and task-trainer simulation events at major campus hubs. This role ensures the flawless operation of simulation spaces, audio-visual technology, and medical equipment.
In a matrixed shared-services deployment model, this position functions under a dual-reporting framework. While reporting administratively to the centralized Director of Simulation and SP Programming, the Technician operates under the direct functional, day-to-day programmatic supervision of the local Program Director (or designated program faculty) during the planning, dry-running, and execution of program-specific curricular events to satisfy programmatic staff adequacy and autonomy standards (e.g., ARC-PA Standards A2.11 and A2.12).

The Simulation Technology Specialist operates with a high degree of autonomy and is expected to exercise independent judgment and discretion on matters of operational and educational significance to the university's academic programs.
