Job Description: The Simulation Technician at Lincoln Memorial University (LMU)- DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (DCOM) is responsible for providing support, maintenance and instruction, in the simulation and clinical skills lab within the Center for IPE and Simulation (CIPES) on the Orange Park, Florida campus. This position requires close collaboration with Simulation Technician counterparts and all team members at the Knoxville and Harrogate campuses to ensure program consistency and excellence.
Required Qualifications: Associate degree or experience in health, information technology or related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Baccalaureate-level degree or Masters in health, information technology or related field, EMT-P/RN/BSN nurse with > 3 years of experience, Previous healthcare simulation experience and/or simulation professional credentialing.

Job Duties:
- Technical Support: Serve as the primary contact for technical issues and provide support for all simulation equipment, including patient simulator manikins and associated technology. This includes supporting and maintaining the Laerdal Medical SimCapture simulation management platform and assisting faculty, staff, and students in its use.
- Operational Management: Manage the inventory, supplies, and equipment for all CIPES areas using the digital inventory management platform, Sortly. Conduct pre-activity and regular equipment checks as well as restock supplies in the simulation and skills lab before all activities.
- Curriculum & Schedule Support: Work with program faculty and staff to develop and maintain scenarios, exam flows, and evaluations in collaboration with the Simulation and Training Coordinator. Provide necessary training on proper equipment use and cleaning to faculty, staff and students.
- Professional Development & Compliance: Stay current on healthcare simulation technology, education, and best practices by attending at least one national medical simulation conference per year. Be willing to train for and maintain professional healthcare simulation credentials. Ensure all activities comply with state and federal regulations governing Tennessee.
- Administrative & Outreach: Complete required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports as needed. Participate in university committees and travel between campuses to support department activities. Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all stakeholders and the community at large. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Technical Expertise: Strong technology and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Power Point). Must have the ability to/learn to repair, maintain, and troubleshoot both mechanical and technological equipment.
- Communication & Organization: Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated, conscientious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Able to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities concurrently.
