Offer Description
SINTEF Energy invites applications for a three-year PhD position within HeatMinds, a European Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Network.
The research project, “Multiscale design and optimization of ejectors integrated within novel IHTHP architectures,” focuses on the design and optimization of ejectors integrated into novel industrial high-temperature heat pump (IHTHP) architectures.
The project will investigate two-phase ejector integration and component design and optimization using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). It will employ multiscale and multifidelity modelling approaches, including surrogate models and reduced-order performance models, to support the design and optimization process. The developed models will be compared against experimental data to evaluate their accuracy and predictive performance.
The candidate will conduct doctoral research in collaboration with SINTEF and DTU Construct and pursue doctoral studies at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). The project also includes an international research secondment at Danfoss in Denmark.
Through HeatMinds, the project contributes to research on industrial high-temperature heat pump technologies.
