Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities
This position will provide support for and work with the
Communications, Marketing, and Creative Services staff.
Attend promotional events on and off campus to provide social
media coverage
Save and archive social media content collected at events for
later use on the main feeds of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter,
Snapchat, and/or TikTok
Engage with the University’s social media tools and
applications (Hootsuite, Canva, Capcut)
Hosted, produce, edit, and direct the campus’ weekly social
media show, the Falcon Flyby
Increase influencer marketing efforts on social
Other related duties to support the University’s social media
efforts
Minimum Qualifications
Familiarity and experience with the social media platforms
utilized by Fairmont State University
Some experience with, and an interest in, learning more
marketing and social media
Good communication and writing skills
Ability to work autonomously and manage time well
Good organizational skills
Ability to express ideas creatively
Ability to edit, revise, and reflect on content created for
social
