The Social Sales Manager is responsible for maintaining existing business and soliciting new business through sales lead generation. The individual in this position is responsible for generating revenue, establishing new accounts, monitoring booking space, booking repeat business while keeping quality consistently high, conducting catering sales presentations and conducting sales calls.

Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Achieving or exceeding individual sales goals.
- Obtaining leads and capturing social blocks and functions.
- Marketing the property as a "one-stop" location for ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, morning-after brunch and overnight rooms.
- Prospecting, identifying, and securing all social events including proms, weddings, sports banquets, social parties, off-site events, and all other aspects of the social market. Actively solicits new business through phone calls, letters and site tours in order to secure contracts and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Participates in professional membership organizations to meet new prospects and remain updated with industry information and trends.
- Inputs data to generate contracts, update client files, and enter information into Delphi.
- This role includes on-site event support as needed, which may require evening and weekend availability.
- Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned.
- Training and empowering sales team members to exercise good judgement to make profitable business decisions.
- Ensuring that the property is maximizing the use of all Villanova University and local programs (i.e. CVB's, PAMPI, Networking memberships)
Minimum Qualifications
Formal Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred but experience considered in lieu of a degree.
Work Experience
- 2+ years of combined sales, leadership, and development experience.
Work Skills
Delphi, etc.
Specific Job Knowledge
Ability in strategic planning, staff coaching and development, marketing, budgeting and analytics to drive measurable results and focus resources on work that will excel revenue growth.

PC, General AV

Salary Posting Information
This position falls within salaried grade 15 and the range is $64,000-80,000. The final salary will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate's qualifications, department budget availability, market data, and internal equity.
