Social Work Faculty/Temporary Full Time AY 2026-2027
Position Summary
Slippery Rock University invites applications for a full time, temporary Social Work faculty member in the Department of Psychology, Social Work, and Recreational Therapy for 2026-2027 academic year.
The candidate will teach 4 courses per semester, typically consisting of two undergraduate and two graduate courses. Assigned courses will include a mix of in-person and online delivery. The primary instructional need is in clinical practice courses within the BSSW and MSW programs, though assignments will depend on departmental needs. The candidate will engage in service activities and scholarship as appropriate to a one-year position, attend meetings, and participate in the ongoing activities of the department.
Minimum Qualifications
Required qualifications include: Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE accredited program; minimum of two years of post-MSW Social Work practice experience; demonstrated commitment to the education of diverse populations; a master’s-level social work license (e.g., LSW, LMSW, LGSW, etc.) and eligibility to obtain a clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LISW, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate in Social Work preferred. Experience teaching clinical social work practice courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. Experience with in-person, online, and/or hybrid instruction. Advanced clinical practice experience with individuals, families, or groups.
