Overview

Our faculty include award-winning, internationally renowned scholars in Social Inequality, Aging & Health, and Population Studies. We also have research expertise in areas such as youth and identity, criminology, and work.

Features

The Sociology department at Western University - Canada houses a graduate student computer lab, office space, classrooms, research space and a lounge.
With all of these facilities located on the fifth floor of the Social Science Centre, our students enjoy an inclusive environment and easy access to faculty members and facilities.

We are not aware of any specific GRE, GMAT or GPA grading score requirements for this programme.

English requirements

Duolingo English Test: 115
TOEFL® iBT: 107

General requirements

Master's degree or equivalent.
At least a high second class standing (B+) in the master's degree.
A writing sample (e.g. term paper, excerpt from MA thesis), maximum 20 double-spaced pages.

Tuition Fees

International

International tuition fees apply to students who are not citizens or permanent residents of the study country. In some regions, like the EU/EEA, or under certain agreements, students from partner countries may also pay domestic fees.

Non-residents: 6,749 AUD / year (approx. 6,726 CAD / year)

Domestic

Tuition fee for the domestic students.

Citizens or residents: 6,243 AUD / year (approx. 6,222 CAD / year)

Living costs

London, Canada: 1,041-1,631 AUD / month

The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.
