Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute for Renewable Resources Chemistry is a research unit in the organic chemistry sector. We conduct scientific research and research and development work. We have been supporting the Polish industry and entrepreneurs since 1952. We specialize in green chemistry – technologies and solutions that are friendly to people and the environment. We transform by-products and waste, which could be potentially harmful, into useful resources and reintegrate them into the market cycle. Specialist in the Specialty Formulations Research Group
(RESEARCH DIVISION)

Expected scope of duties (daily tasks):
Carrying out the activities of the Specialty Formulations Research Group, in particular by:
- independently planning and conducting laboratory work;
- actively participating in technology development;
- testing and evaluating product properties;
- participating in research and development activities, including those carried out as a part of projects;
- preparing research reports;
- contributing to the implementation of scientific research results and development work in practice;
- participating in solving scientific problems;
- contributing to the dissemination of research results and scientific achievements, including the preparation of publications and active participation in the scientific community.
Mandatory requirements:
- master’s degree - no professional experience required; or
- bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in the research and development sector (documented by employment certificates);
- field of study (specialization): chemistry or related;
- ability to use scientific literature (including English) and databases;
- knowledge of the principles of work in a chemical laboratory;
- knowledge of English or another modern language at a communicative level (min. B1);
- Meeting at least one of the additional criteria during the last 2 years of professional activity:
- Participation in at least 1 scientific or industry conference with a minimum national scope (poster presentation, oral presentation, participation in a discussion panel);
- Participation in at least 2 specialist training courses;
- Experience in implementing research and development projects, e.g. participation in an R&D project (also applies to projects under subsidies, targeted grants and commissioned tasks) as a team member;
- Active participation in projects related to the implementation of research results or cooperation with the economic sector;
- Authorship or co-authorship of at least 1 scientific publications, industry report or analysis relevant to the Institute’s research directions;
- Being named as an inventor or co-inventor on at least one patent;
- Experience in implementing at least 3 R&D projects commissioned from industry, as part of direct cooperation, e.g. as a team member.
- knowledge of MS Office;
- ability to work in a team, communication skills, creativity, ability to work effectively under pressure, readiness to improve qualifications and professional development.
Desirable qualifications:
- master’s degree;
- field of study (specialization): chemical technology, chemical engineering or related;
- for candidates holding a master’s degree – at least one year of experience in the research and development sector (documented by certificates of employment);
- practical ability to develop technologies and formulations;
- knowledge of Polish at a level that allows for effective communication;
- valid category B driving license.
