As a radiologist in Värmland, you become part of a team consisting of 25 specialists/senior physicians and 15 residents in the county. The operation is jointly organised with an overall manager, scheduler, and coordinator, creating good conditions for collaboration and knowledge exchange. In Torsby, there is one specialist and two residents, but staff work closely together regardless of location.
At Torsby Hospital, operations run 24/7 with both acute and elective examinations. The equipment in Torsby includes CT scanner, MRI, fluoroscopy equipment, skeletal X-ray, and ultrasound lab. There is close proximity between different operations and a strong team spirit between radiology, clinics, and the emergency department.
In Värmland, there are three on-call lines for radiologists: primary on-call, backup on-call, and remote on-call, enabling a flexible and sustainable on-call organisation. At night, external review is performed via Teleconsult, both weekdays and weekends.
Salary: 74,200+ SEK/month, base salary for fresh specialists
On-call: Evening and weekend on-call duties (3 on-call lines)
Vacation: Minimum 25 days + flexible working hours
