OVERVIEW & HIGHLIGHTS
The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual as a Specialty Lab Technician IV - Automotive Technology. The Incumbent under the direction of an assigned supervisor, performs a variety of technical and specialized duties related to the preparation, operation and maintenance of a well-equipped "State of the Art" automotive technology training laboratory and related areas; operates and demonstrates the use of specialized equipment, tools and materials used in automotive service and repair. Type of position: Full-Time - Monday - Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Schedule may change depending on classroom schedules)
Current Vacancies: Cuyamaca College
Salary: Range CL-37
$29.46 - $36.85 Hourly
$5,107 - $6,387 Monthly (based on 40 hours per week)
Initial Salary Placement: New employees start at Step A ($29.46 per hour) or B ($31.16 per hour) on the salary schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree or equivalent in Automotive Technology.
Responsible experience in the automotive repair field including welding, fabrication machining, layout and electronics. Experience in business, budgeting and record keeping including computer and accounting skills.
ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification desirable.
