Overview

The Ph.D. degree in Speech Language Pathology from Kent State University provides community service to help those individuals with or likely to develop communication, swallowing, hearing and balance disorders.

Features

All students receiving a graduate degree from our programs and who complete the necessary practicum are eligible for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology from ASHA and qualify for Ohio licensure. Our faculty is distinguished by its numerous clinical and scientific publications, as well as by its current clinical and research involvement.

General requirements

Master's or AuD degree from an accredited college or university (not necessarily in areas of speech-language pathology and audiology)
Bachelor's degree (not necessarily in areas of speech-language pathology and audiology) for unconditional admission
Minimum 3.000 undergraduate GPA on a 4.000 point scale (minimum 3.500 GPA is recommended) for unconditional admission
