- Annual base salary $121,045 pro-rata (HEW Level 7) with market loading $8,491 pro-rata and 17% superannuation
- Part-time (3 days/21 hours per week), fixed term contract until December 2026
- Onsite at Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus (North Ryde)

About the role
Reporting to the Principal of MUSEC School, you will collaborate closely with the Allied Health Team, Special Education Teachers, and Classroom Assistants to help students engage in their learning programs.
In this school-based role, as the Speech Pathologist will maintain regular communication with caregivers, staff, and external health professionals involved in each child’s support network.
You will also play an active role in supervising and supporting students across classroom activities, playground settings, and school excursions, helping them build and strengthen their communication skills.
Please note this is fixed term contract on a part-time basis.

Essential criteria
- A recognised qualification in Speech Pathology and current CPSP (Certified Practising Speech Pathologist) status
- Experience in the use of assessment and intervention to develop communicative capabilities
- Monitor and collect data on student progress and evaluate interventions or programs
- An ability to provide a wide range of speech pathology programs and interventions to assist children with a disability to participate in the school curriculum
- Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems
- Provide small group/ individual speech pathology programs within the classroom
- High levels of interpersonal skills to liaise with parents, students, teachers, other professionals and external therapists to support the implementation of strategies relevant to the school environment
