Advertised Job Summary
The University of South Carolina, Brain Health Network, is looking for a full time Speech Language Pathologist to travel across the state of South Carolina. Under direct supervision, the Speech Language Pathologist works closely with medical providers and primary care teams to provide cognitive assessment care coordination for patient experiencing cognitive issues. Demonstrates commitment to conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures and regulations. This position will travel across the state of South Carolina
Required Education and Experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of approved principles, procedures, techniques, and instrumentation used in the individual and group treatment of speech, language, and cognitive disorders.
- Knowledge of classifications, causes, and manifestations of speech, language, and cognitive disorders.
- Knowledge of the principles of psychology and education related to teaching individuals with cognitive impairments.
- Ability to operate equipment and to interpret test results. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, their families, and other staff members.
- Ability to travel to regional practice sites and other outreach destinations.
