The Athens State University Spirit Store is seeking part-time temporary workers, up to 19 hours per week as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist customers with purchases of school-branded merchandise and gifts.
- Operate the cash register. Restock shelves, organize displays, and maintain a clean and welcoming store environment.
- Provide friendly, helpful service to students, faculty, alumni, and campus visitors.
- Support and assist during special campus events or sales. Assist students and provide support for book related materials.
Required Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- High School diploma or its equivalent required.
- Must be available to work early morning and evening hours.
- Must have a willingness to learn or prior experience in preparing and serving coffee.
- Friendly with excellent customer service.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
- Passionate about coffee.
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
- Coffee experience preferred.
- ServSafe certification preferred but not required.
Salary Schedule:
Wage minimum $15.00 per hour. No benefits, temporary, part-time as needed.

Located in historic Athens, Alabama, Athens State University offers junior and senior-level coursework to community college graduates and transfer students holding sufficient credits from other institutions.
