Sports Information Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Sports Information Manager supports the promotion and growth of Florida Polytechnic University Athletics through strategic storytelling, media relations, digital content development, and game-day communications operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and advance athletics communications initiatives across digital, social, web, print, and video platforms
- Collaborate with the Strategic Communications team and athletics staff to develop content
- Serve as the primary gatekeeper in Athletics for University brand standards, copyright, and NAIA/Sun Conference compliance
- Serve as the primary athletics media contact for local, regional, and national media outlets
- Act as the official representative to the NAIA Sun Conference
- Proactively solicit and promote student-athlete honors
- Maintain accurate historical records, statistics, and files for all varsity sports
- Direct the daily operations of athletics website
- Coordinate game-day communications operations
- Curate and execute a high-impact social media strategy
- Oversee the creative direction of live video streaming and produce promotional content
- Produce professional game programs, previews, recaps, and statistical reports
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Sports Management, or a related field, or 3 years in a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Sports Management, or a related field
- 3 years of experience supporting collegiate athletics communications operations
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of NAIA and Sun Conference compliance requirements
- Experience with athletics statistics software and live-stating software
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; occasional overtime (weekends and evenings) may be required.
TARGET HIRING SALARY: $59,500 - 63,000, commensurate with experience.
