Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following temporary position: Sports Nutrition FB Fellow in Intercollegiate Athletics.
To continue the growth and support of our football program, under the supervision of the Dietitian for Football, this fellow will have the opportunity to gain experience working with a collegiate football program while abiding by and complying with the constitution, by-laws, rules, regulations and interpretations of the NCAA, any conference with which Coastal Carolina is or may become affiliated, and Coastal Carolina rules and regulations relating to the conduct and administration of its athletic programs, including recruiting rules, as now constituted or as any of the same may be amended during the Term herein. In the event Employee becomes aware, or has reasonable cause to believe, that violations of such constitution, by-laws, interpretations, rules or regulations may have taken place, he/she shall report the same promptly to the Director of Athletics.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or Health related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree in Nutrition or a Nutrition related field. Background and strong interest in Sports Nutrition.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provide nutrition education to student-athletes through team talks, consultations, and other educational strategies; assisting in the planning and execution of everyday practice fueling, as well as game day/travel nutrition fueling strategies. Assist with the planning and logistics of home and away game day fueling.
- Assist in the management of football fueling station including keeping inventory, managing, stocking, creating educational materials, and management of undergraduate student volunteers. Assist in the development and improvement of nutrition education materials and resources.
- Develop social media material to serve the student-athlete population as a consistent and credible source of nutrition education and information. Develop, coordinate, and execute grocery store tours and cooking demos.
- Work closely with the coaching staff, athletic trainers, strength staff, and other individuals from the athletic department on any nutrition-related matter.
- Assist with game day/travel nutrition fueling strategies. Assist with the planning and logistics of home and away game day fueling.
Temporary staff position. (TP0563/NS01461P). Pay is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Work days and hours vary. Work a non-standard workweek, including some weekends and holidays. Routine travel. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
