Sr Correctional LVN

Position Description

Employees in this classification are experienced LVNs responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care activities in an assigned correctional facility. Work performed under the direction of a regional director of nursing, staff nurse and/or physician as part of a total health care team in providing complete evaluations to patients. Works under the direct supervision of regional director of nursing, staff nurse or physician. May instruct coworkers and supervise them in the performance of special procedures. Work performed as part of a total correctional managed health care team in providing safe and competent care to patients.

This position schedule is typically M-F, 8-5 with occasional late days. The position is Intake/clinic float, so there are some days that the intake busses will come in later. This is rare but does happen, so the hours can vary depending on the need.
