Sr Data Analytics Specialist (HS)
Job Description
The Sr. Data Analytics Specialist will be primarily responsible for development and implementation of measurement and analytics strategies designed to ensure appropriate operational models; monitor and evaluate applicable metrics to compare and analyze data to support research, process improvement, and cost reduction; ensure communication with senior leadership and synthesize data into useful and insightful information; write and automate tools and scripts to increase efficiency and automate repeatable tasks; and perform analysis. In addition, the Sr. Data Analytics Specialist will design and build data visualizations using diverse data sets of structured and unstructured data. This position will be instrumental in developing and translating analysis for research, data modeling and ad hoc decision support to fulfill the needs of the organization. This includes data analysis and reporting to enhance operational efficiency, data driven decisions and promote a higher level of data consumption as well as best practices to improve services and processes of strategic importance to the Medical Center. Responsibilities include significant data analysis and data mining; applying and/or writing SQL queries for data modeling; development of dashboards and scorecards; small- and large-scale project planning, data extraction and communication to multi-disciplinary teams at the Wexner Medical Center.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred in Statistics, Mathematics, Public Health, Health Administration, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Health Informatics, Information Systems or equivalent combination of education & healthcare related experience required. Experience using data visualization tools comparable to Tableau, Qlik, Microsoft Power BI, etc. required. Minimum of 3 years experience in healthcare data analytics or statistics required. Healthcare related experience in database management, data collection and statistical analysis required. Able to statistically analyze and interpret raw data into actionable recommendations required.
