Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) was established at Ludhiana by an act of the Punjab Legislature No. 16 of 2005 notified in the Punjab Government Gazette on August 9, 2005 and it started functioning w.e.f. April 21, 2006 for promoting livestock production, health, and prevention of the disease(s) through integrated teaching, research, and extension program(s).

Title of the Project: NLM-2-CSNA: Technological Interventions for development of Sustainable Kajali Sheep Production Model vis a vis prevailing intensive paddy wheat cropping system of Punjab

Qualification:

• Graduation degree in Veterinary Science/Animal Biotechnology/Basic Science/ Fishery/ Dairy/ Agriculture/ Life Science with at least second division from a recognized university.
• Master’s degree in any discipline of Veterinary Science/Animal Biotechnology/Fisheries/ Dairy Science/ Agricultural Science./ Basic Science/ Life Science with minimum OCPA of 6.50/10 or 65% marks in aggregate or equivalent.
• Candidate having post graduate degree in Basic/Life Sciences with 3 years’ Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ Master’s degree should have qualified NET examination conducted by ICAR, UGC, CSIR and 2 years of research experience. OR Doctorate in any discipline of Veterinary Science/Animal Biotechnology/Basic Science/Fishery/Dairy/Agriculture/Life Science.
• Should have knowledge of Punjabi up to Matriculation Level. However, if no suitable candidate with knowledge of Punjabi up to Matriculation level is available, then other candidate may be considered for selection.

Pay Scale: Pay: Rs.31,000/- +8% HRA per month
