SRP Coordinator

encourages UNCG students in their pursuit of an enriched college experience and sustained recovery. The SRP creates a recovery-minded community of empowerment, purpose, and inclusion, in which UNCG students in all phases of recovery can pursue their personal, professional, and academic goals for the purpose of enhancing personal wellness and contributions to the global community. The program providers Peer Support Recovery Coaching, recreational activities, monthly Celebration of Recovery events, opportunities for personal, professional, and academic development, housing supports, referral to additional treatment and support services. This SRP Coordinator position is responsible for coordinating and further developing the Spartan Recovery Program ( SRP ) at UNCG . The person in this position will develop and implement educational, social, and service programs as described above for the SRP , as well as oversee all aspects of the program, including promotion of the program. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field.
Familiarity with various pathways to recovery and a recovery-oriented continuum of care.
Two years of related experience.
Knowledge of issues specific to young adults in recovery.
Experience with program development, coordination and evaluation.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related discipline strongly preferred.
Certified Substance Abuse Counselor ( CSAC ) or Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist ( LCAS ) in the state of North Carolina.
