SSI Mentor
Class Description
The purpose of this position is to provide high-quality mentoring and student support services to participants in the Strategic Student Initiatives (SSI).
Minimum Requirements
An associates degree with three years or a bachelors degree with one year of successful experience working with mentoring programs and/or case management are required. Demonstrated success working with student populations. Must have experience working with adult learners, providing mentoring, case management, and other support services.
Positions located on the Essex & Catonsville campusesThis is a Part Time (19.5 hours per week) on-site position.
Class Specific Essential Duties
- Mentor students by providing guidance, acting as a role model, and offering support to help them build academic skills, navigate challenges, and complete CCBC.
- Maintain a caseload of program participants by maintaining confidential student records and electronic files.
- Enhance student engagement by facilitating and coordinating programming that aligns with SSI's goals and foundational pillars.
- Monitor the academic and educational progress of program participants.
- Oversee the collection of quantitative and qualitative educational data related to program goals and objectives.
