St. Dominic Fellowship Coordinator
Overview
Under the leadership of the Providence College Humanities Program Director and the Principal Investigator of the NEH grant funding this position, the St. Dominic Fellowship coordinator is responsible for building, administering, and assessing the St. Dominic Fellowship program. This position will start July 1, 2026 and conclude December 31, 2028.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and manage the annual recruitment and selection cycle, develop outreach materials, coordinate information sessions, steward inquiries, organize application review with a selection committee, and ensure mission-aligned review processes and communications. Oversee onboarding, advising, and program communications for Fellows. (40%)
- Build and sustain a network of mentors (faculty and partners); match Fellows with mentors, set expectations, resources, and training for effective mentoring and monitor engagement and outcomes. Design and manage immersion experiences aligned with program learning outcomes. (30%)
- Course design and management, including team teaching when appropriate. Regular teaching and grading responsibilities during the academic year totaling 12 credits (typically 6 credits per semester). (30%)
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in a humanistic discipline from an accredited institution required. PhD is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a college or university setting, including college-level instruction and program coordination.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit students and support program design, administration, assessment planning and data management.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, diplomatic, and cross-campus collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to the Catholic and Dominican intellectual tradition.
