Staff Assistant
Posting Summary
The Staff Assistant provides critical administrative support to the Office of Engagement and Leahy Institute for Rural Partnerships and helps maintain smooth operations within the department. This role provides administrative support and interfaces with internal and external partners. It includes maintenance of our Salesforce CRM database, involving data entry and reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks, able to work with data management systems and interact with internal and external partners.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Associate's degree and one to 3 years of experience in an administrative support role, preferably within a higher education or government environment. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). Experience working with CRM platforms, especially Salesforce, to enter, update, and report data. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail. Ability to handle sensitive data and maintain confidentiality. Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Desirable Qualifications
- Preferred prior experience with data entry, CRM systems, and database management.
- Knowledge of Salesforce CRM is highly preferred.
Anticipated Pay Range
$22.20 - $31.79 per hour
Special Conditions
A probationary period may be required, Contingent on continued funding, Travel to and from worksites required, Background Check required for this position
