Position Summary

Responsible for evaluating and treating patients within the WashU Eye Center.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates and treats patients, including: refractive exams; contact lens fitting and dispensing; emergency exams; evaluation and management of medical diseases of the eye.
  • Discusses and interprets findings with patients and suggests appropriate remedies.
  • Adheres to established compliance guidelines to include those governing the appropriate coding of patient services and diagnoses.
  • Adheres to established quality, safety, and hazardous material procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Ophthalmology.

Salary Range

$123,200.00 - $197,100.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
