We are looking for an experienced AI/ML Researcher to lead high-quality, industry-relevant research in machine learning and signal processing.
You will work in a team with strong connections to international academic and industry partners.
Your leadership responsibilities include:
- Developing AI/ML models to analyze data and solve real-world problems, such as in computer vision or signal processing.
- Designing experiments to rigorously compare your methods with relevant baselines.
- Acquiring, managing, and executing research projects with industrial and academic partners, in close collaboration with team members.
- Publishing results in peer-reviewed international conferences and scientific journals.
Your profile:
- PhD in Computer Science or a related field such as Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Mechatronics, or Physics.
- At least 4 years of practical experience in AI/ML and data science, ideally applied to real-world problems.
- Strong understanding of vision data and processing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Python and its data science ecosystem (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
- Fluent in English; German is an advantage.

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) in occupational group G (G1 salary = EUR 5.546, paid 14 times a year). Your actual salary depends on your experience and qualifications. We offer a gross salary in the range between EUR 85.000 to EUR 120.000 (annual, based on an All-in contract and bonus).
