The person in this role is expected to maintain a direct clinical contact rate consistent with IACS accreditation standards, which establish
65% of compensated time as the upper threshold for sustainable direct-service load. Individual targets are set below this threshold to
preserve capacity for crisis response, consultation, and case management.

of professional time. IACS accreditation standards identify 65% direct clinical contact as the maximum sustainable threshold for staff
clinicians. Individual clinical targets are established by the Director based on role responsibilities, caseload complexity, training
responsibilities, and other non-clinical functions. Time allocations may be adjusted in response to clinical demand..

  Direct Clinical Service (Primary
  Function)

• Provide individual psychotherapy using time-limited, evidence-informed approaches aligned with CAPS scope of
  practice.
• Conduct clinical intake assessments, differential diagnosis, and short-term treatment planning.
• Co-facilitate
  group therapy offerings;
• Provide couples counseling as assigned;
• Maintain clinical documentation in the electronic health
  record (Medicat) in compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and IACS standards.

Crisis Intervention and Access

• Participate
  in walk-in triage rotation and provide same-day crisis assessment as scheduled.
• Contribute to on-call and after-hours crisis
  coverage in coordination with Campus Safety and Student Support.
• Coordinate post-hospitalization planning and follow-up care for
  students returning from inpatient psychiatric treatment.
• Operate within CAPS triage and routing protocols to match student need to
  appropriate level of care.

Consultation and Campus Coordination

• Provide consultation to faculty, staff, families,
  and campus partners regarding student mental health concerns and appropriate referral pathways.
• Collaborate with Health Services,
  ODA, Campus Safety, and the Dean of Students office as needed to support high-risk students.
• Participate in cross-campus
  coordination structures as assigned by the Director.

Outreach and Psychoeducation

• Develop and deliver
  psychoeducational programming and workshops for students, RAs, faculty, and staff.
• Support outreach efforts targeting historically
  underserved and marginalized student populations, including students of color, LGBTQIA+ students, students with disabilities, and
  first-generation students.
• Collaborate with campus partners on mental health promotion and prevention initiatives as clinical demand
  allows.

Administration, Training and Supervision

• Complete clinical documentation and case management; participate
  in staff and training meetings; and provide supervision and mentorship to graduate-level practicum students as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage
  and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current independent licensure in mental health practice (Psychologist, LPCC,
  LISW, or MFT) in the State of Ohio, or eligibility for licensure within 12 months of hire.
• Supervised clinical experience in a
  college counseling center or comparable mental health setting.
• Demonstrated competence in short-term, evidence-informed clinical
  modalities.
• Strong commitment to confidentiality, ethical practice, and compliance with HIPAA and FERPA.
• Demonstrated
  multicultural competence and ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.

Desired Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (Ph. D., Psy.
  D., Ed. D., or D.S.W.) in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or Social Work.
• Completion of an APA-accredited doctoral
  internship.
• Experience with crisis intervention, post-hospitalization coordination, or high-acuity clinical
  populations.
• Training or experience in the treatment of substance use disorders or co-occurring conditions.
• Experience
  working with students of color, LGBTQIA+ students, first-generation students, and other underrepresented groups.
• Familiarity with
