Job Description
The Standardized Patient (SP) Educator manages the recruitment, training, and operational delivery of human-simulation actors within the Clinical Exam Center at major campus hubs. This role ensures that live patient simulations are delivered with realistic accuracy and behavioral consistency. In a matrixed shared-services deployment model, this position functions under a dual-reporting framework. While reporting administratively to the centralized Director of Simulation and SP Programming, the SP Educator operates under the direct functional, day-to-day programmatic supervision of the local Program Director (or designated program faculty) during the planning, dry-running, and execution of program-specific curricular events to satisfy programmatic staff adequacy and autonomy standards (e.g., ARC-PA Standards A2.11 and A2.12).
Required Qualifications
Successful acquisition of the CHSOS or CHSE credential through the Society for Simulation in Healthcare within two years of hire required
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in education, theater, healthcare, communication, or related experience. Experience in instructional training, corporate coaching, acting instruction, or clinical skills education Experience working within an accredited health professions program framework preferred
