Sterile Processing Technician 2-Central Sterile-Fulltime-Variable
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and/or Clinical Nurse Manager, the Central Supply Instrument Technician cares for instruments and supplies by cleaning, organizing, and wrapping them in approved manner conducive to sterilization and disinfection techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- Knowledge of Instruments and their care
- Knowledge of approved sterilization packaging requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
- Central Supply Technician Certification
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
