"Storekeeper"

Under supervision of the unit manager, serves as Storekeeper during operational periods and performs custodial duties during periods of non-operation; manages storeroom in receiving, storing, and distribution of food items, supplies, chemicals and equipment; receives, weighs, counts, unpacks and stores food supplies; issues food and requisitioned supplies; organizes and cleans store room and refrigerators; removes trash; position work hours are Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., with weekend hours as needed.

Qualifications

Required: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, read and write simple sentences and communicate effectively; 1 course in record keeping or 1 month experience; 1 course in inventory control or 1 month experience or similar experience; ability to lift up to 100 lbs.; ability to operate a pallet jack. May be exposed to low temperatures while working cold storage items as well as high temperatures; will be exposed to variations in weather and may handle hazardous chemicals; successful completion of a background check.

Desired: High School Diploma; knowledge of inventory control practices and food safety practices; knowledge of HAACP principles.

The hiring range for this position is $16.70 - $20.88 per hour. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the units available budget, and the selected candidates qualifications.
