Job Summary

The Storekeeper I is responsible for providing skills required to operate a central receiving and/or stores unit.

Core Responsibilities

1. Prepares stock orders, receives, issues, and delivers materials to departmental employees.
2. Conducts purchases and maintenance of files related to the upkeep of stock levels.
3. Enter parts into computerized maintenance management system.
4. Drives University vehicles to pick up supplies.
5. Establishes and maintains relationships with vendors and employees.
6. Performs annual inventory of stores warehouse.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED.
• This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
• Texas Driver's License and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Some college work in business administration.
• One (1) year of experience in the procurement, storage and disbursement of supplies.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management system.
• Ability to use a forklift.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Thorough knowledge of sources of supply.
• Must have the ability to work cooperatively with other departments to determine their requirements and needs.
• Ability to lift, stand, bend, and stoop for long periods of time.

Salary Range: Up to $34,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Hours: up to 40 hours per week, non-exempt.
