Strategic Partnerships Project Manager

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Strategic Partnerships Project Manager to join the MPLS Divisional Office, and help establish a new Strategic Partnerships Project Management function focussed on developing and delivering high-value collaborations with industry. This is a rare opportunity to join a new team at the point of creation and help shape how strategic partnerships are developed, negotiated and delivered across one of the world's leading research-intensive universities. You will lead a portfolio of strategically important partnership projects, working with academic leaders, industry partners and professional services colleagues to progress opportunities from initial engagement through negotiation, contract signature and into delivery. You will provide the project leadership needed to maintain momentum, navigate complexity and deliver successful outcomes, while enabling academic colleagues to focus on scientific leadership. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have significant experience of managing complex projects, partnerships or business development activities involving senior stakeholders. You will have excellent relationship-building, influencing and communication skills, together with the ability to operate confidently across organisational boundaries and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Experience of academic–industry collaboration, research partnerships or innovation programmes would be advantageous. This position is offered full-time on a fixed-term contract until 31 July 2029.
